This basic package can be embellished with many options of your choice. You can choose it for your "no worries" wedding or use it as the base for your ideal celebration.

Legal or Symbolic ceremony

There are various ways to be married here. You can opt for a legal ceremony which requires blood tests and legal paperwork to be completed within Mexico or you can perform a symbolic ceremony on the beach and have the legal marriage done at home - either prior to or after your trip to Mexico.

Option A

A legal ceremony is performed by a local municipal judge in Spanish only. Blood tests are required in Mexico along with 4 witnesses with proper documentation (passport & tourist card). Both the witnesses and wedding couple must be in Mexico 5 business days prior to the wedding ceremony.
Option B

A symbolic, religious ceremony can be performed by a local clergyman in either Spanish or English. The minister will supply a marriage certificate from his church. (Catholic priests will not perform marriages outside the church).
Option C

Your own symbolic ceremony: The wedding couple can create their own vows/ceremony to be performed by an individual designated by you.
(Deduct $400.00 USD from the package price if you use option C)

Ceremony Setting

The site is on our beautiful white sand beach with the turquoise waters of the Caribbean as the background. A podium of native woods is surrounded by coconuts and palm greenery. Tiki torches help provide romantic lighting for sunset ceremonies. Seating for up to 80 people and a microphone are available. Indoor options are also available if you prefer.

The Reception & Dinner

Cocktails are served in the area around the pool and poolside bar. There are options for a cash bar or prepaid beverages for your guests. Dinner is served in the main dining room. The nightly room rate includes breakfast and dinner; therefore the cost of the evening's dinner is already included in your guests' room payments. Anyone who is not a guest of the resort will be charged $25.00 per person for the dinner.

A beach setting for dinner is available to larger groups (minimum of 40) at an additional cost. This beach set-up makes a wonderful dining experience.

When the group has confirmed reservations in excess of 60 room nights, the rental price of the beach dining area is greatly reduced.

With 60 room nights: Dinner on the Beach $500 / evening

Without 60 room nights: Dinner on the Beach $4000 / evening

The dinner for this option is buffet styles and is set up after the ceremony. There are various pick-n-choose menu options available and your wedding coordinator will supply those details at your request.

Sightseeing and Adventures

The Mayan Riviera boasts many natural and cultural attractions. Tours and activities can be arranged for groups or individuals wishing to enjoy the full experience of visiting the Yucatan peninsula. The Turquoise Reef Group office in Playa del Carmen will be glad to offer a quote for any of a multitude of trips that are available.

A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the date of your wedding.
This deposit is applied to the final balance, due 30 days prior to the event.
After confirming your date, please contact the Turquoise Reef Group Inc. at 1-(800)-538-6802 or www.mexicoholiday.com for room reservations.
Room reservations for wedding groups are non-refundable.
Petit Lafitte accommodates wedding ceremonies between May 1 and December 17 only. (Periods between July 15 and August 31 by special request and excluding November 20-30). Some exceptions are permitted in late January and April.
Wedding activities cannot continue past 11:30 p.m. on the resort grounds.
A 15% coordination fee will be added to the total cost of your wedding not including the room reservations.

The price of this package is valid through 2008.
