Playa Azul Tulum Hotel consists of a group of cabanas located between the jungle and the Caribbean sea on one of the most wonderful beaches in Tulum Mexico. It's just minutes away from the natural reserve of Sian Ka'an, the archaeological site of the Tulum ruins, and it faces the second longest coral barrier reef in the world. Surrounded by palm trees and white sand dunes, Playa Azul Tulum Hotel has 16 comfortable rooms and cabanas, all with open terraces, hammocks and private bathrooms. It is the perfect place for those who are seeking to spend quality time away from the hustle and bustle of citye life, and who want to get close to the natural and cultural wonders of Tulum and the Riviera Maya.

This hotel boasts 16 comfortable rooms amid a relaxing and tropical environment. There is also a sports center at the property with kayaks, surf boards, body boards, and a kiteboarding school. For your convenience there is wireless internet connection for you to use your laptop in the restaurant or the reception area at no additional charge. Yoga classes and spa services are available upon request; please inquire at the reception desk at the hotel. The restaurant at the hotel serves a variety of delicious foods with ingredients from top Mexican kitchens and an exotic style. It is open from 8 AM until 3 PM during low season and from 8 AM until 10 PM during high and holiday season, but the bar is open all day during all seasons.

Location

From the Cancun Airport, head south on Highway 307 towards Tulum. When you reach the intersection with San Francisco de Asis grocery store on your right, take a left there towards the beach. Continue on this road as it veers to the right and Playa Azul will be approximately 4 km. down on your left, just after Puerta del Cielo.

Testimonials

This little jewel of beach club is a must when visiting Tulum. Every room is immaculate and artfully decorated suggesting romantic tales through time. From your room follow the soft white sand paths for about 20 feet to the beach resturant. We ordered a hamburger and a variety of local appetizers, all of which were delicious. We especially like the vodka Margaritas. We were fortunate to meet two of the owners, Ivo and Tony that day. They took the time to give us the grand tour of their beautiful beachclub. We were there on a fabulous sunny afternoon and were able to enjoy our drinks while lounging on "queen" sized cushions on the beach. The bar/lounge is 2 stories with an unobstructed view, which I'm sure rocks on the weekends. The beachclub is very easy to get to now that the roads are newly surfaced. It's a very beautiful drive along the sea.
