Take highway 307 south, towards Tulum. In about 35 minutes you will arrive at Playa del Carmen. Keep on the highway until you get to a traffic light with a sign reading "PLAYAS" (beaches) indicating a left turn, take the left turn and keep going straight until you arrive at Hotel Las Palapas.

"All around fabulous Vacation"

We had one of the cottages right on the beach, and it was wonderful. It's kind of rustic so if you're after luxury then this probably isn't the place for you. If you just want a relaxing beach vacation with great food/shopping/scuba diving, then THIS IS IT!!! The buffet breakfast in the morning was great. The beaches were some of the nicest we've ever seen ( and we've been to many) , the local people are really nice. I will never forget just relaxing in the hammock at the cottage right in front of the crystal blue water.
